The Verifier provides a reasonable, but not absolute, level of assurance that the responsible party’s GHG assertion is materially correct. The Verification Statement resulting from work undertaken to a reasonable level of assurance is written in a “positive” format, for example – “Based on the processes and procedures conducted, the GHG assertion is materially correct and is a fair representation of the GHG data and information”
