STANDARDIZED OFFSET CREDITING

Standardized offset crediting has two main elements: 1. Determining the eligibility and additionality of projects using standard criteria, rather than project-specific assessments. 2. Quantifying GHG emission reductions using standard baseline assumptions, emission factors, and monitoring methods.

STANDPIPE

Large vertical pipe 1) into which water is pumped in order to produce a desired pressure or 2) from which water is allowed to flow to relieve excess pressure in a pipe network.

START CARD

An intention to drill card supplied by the applicant to the driller to be submitted to the agency when the driller starts construction.

START DATE

• The date on which the project began generating GHG emission reductions or removals; equal to “Project Crediting Period Start Date”. STATE

STATE ASSURANCE FUND

An assurance account established by the Arizona legislature to assist eligible Underground Storage Tank (UST) owners, operators and others in meeting the potentially high costs of leaking UST investigations and cleanups.

STATE CLIMATE DIVISION

Geographic area in a State based primarily on crop-reporting districts. States can have 2 to 10 climate divisions.

STATE ENGINEER

Official charged with the administration of water appropriation and distribution within the state.
