Verification Program Manual details the requirements of its verification program and provide approved verification bodies with a standardized approach to the independent and rigorous.

VERIFICATION REPORT

A detailed report that a verification body prepares for a Member, describing the scope of the verification activities, standards used, emissions sources identified, sampling techniques, evaluation of Member’s compliance with the General Reporting Protocol, assumptions, and a list of material and immaterial misstatements, if any.

VERIFICATION REPRESENTATION

VERIFICATION STAFF REPORTING FORM

Verification bodies must identify to the Reserve all staff members who are designated as verifiers and serve as key personnel in Exhibit A of the Verification Policies Acknowledgment and Agreement form.

VERIFICATION STATEMENT

A document stating the verification body’s findings that the Member’s emission report is verifiable (or not).

VERIFICATION TEAM

Employees or subcontractors of a verification body, acting for the verification body to provide verification services for a Member.

VERIFIED

A project is considered “verified” when the project verification body has submitted the project’s Verification Statement and the Verification Report in the Reserve system.

VERIFIED EMISSION REDUCTION (VER)

A carbon credit created by a project which has been verified outside of the Kyoto Protocol. One VER corresponds to one ton of CO2e emission reductions.

VERIFIED EMISSIONS REPORT

An annual GHG emission report that has been reviewed and approved by a third-party verification body and accepted by The Registry.
