The degree of assurance the intended user requires in verification. The level of assurance is used to determine the depth of detail that a verifier designs into their verification plan to determine if there are any material errors, omissions or misrepresentations. There are two levels of assurance, reasonable or limited, which result in differently worded Verification Statements; although the terminology should not be confused with Verification Statements that are “qualified” or “adverse”.
