SEGREGATION

To split an existing water right into one or more separate water rights.

SEGREGATION OF DUTIES

Two ore more individuals who are responsible for completing different parts of a task within the same process, so no individual can complete the entire process without the involvement of other individuals

A non- metallic element in the same chemical group as sulfur; its compounds are harmful to wildlife or people when found above certain levels in water.

SELF-MONITORING REPORT FORM (SMRF)

Forms filled out to fulfill specific monitoring and reporting requirements as set forth by the facility’s aquifer protection permit or reuse permit.

SEMIPERMEABLE

Allowing certain size material to pass through a membrane while rejecting other size material. A reverse osmosis unit uses a semipermeable membrane.
